List,
Just wondering about a few things that I am hoping you all will comment on. I haven't been able to see either game, and was only able to listen to the Nichols St game.
Has the Big Red been playing vanilla on offense and defense?
What do the Huskers need to do to be able to win (besides the obvious...score more points!)?
What schemes will USC use on offense and defense?
Will either team try to get in the other QB's head by big blitz packages early in the game?
>From what I have read on the web, USC runs a similar offense to the WCO. Is that an advantage for either team? Does Bill Callahan know the tricks to beating his own offense?
Also, I am wondering if USC won't be a little bit over confident. The Huskers have been down awhile, and might be easy to over look.
How did USC look against the run in the Arkansas game? Will the Huskers have to air it out, or will they be balanced again?
I heard that ESPN gameday will be in LA. Should be interesting...I'm betting Corso picks the Huskers.
Finally, if I were Carroll, I'd try to get Taylor out of his rhythm off the bat. I think that if he gets comfortable, he is a force to be reckoned with.
Scarlet Glasses prediction...Huskers dominate like against Washington in '97 and win 21-3.
Realist prediction...Huskers look good at times...USC dominates and wins 33-17. Huskers beat the point spread!
