What happened?
MESQUITE--Behind nearly 300 yards of total offense
from senior quarterback Seth Sartain, Poteet defeated
Wylie, 32-14, at Memorial Stadium. 

Sartain completed 12-of-22 attempts for 177 yards and
three touchdowns while also rushing for 117 yards on
20 carries. He wasn't the only Poteet back to eclipse
triple digits, though, as senior Taylor Dupree
finished with 115 rushing yards including a 25-yard
fourth-quarter scoring dash on 20 carries. He also
hauled in three catches for 34 yards and another
touchdown. Also having an impressive night for Poteet
(2-0) was senior wide out Akeem Turnbull, who finished
with four receptions for 94 yards and two scores. 

Poteet has lost to Wylie each of the last two seasons,
including a 28-10 setback last September. 

A 46-yard field goal by Poteet senior Nick Meintset
with a minute remaining in the second quarter sent the
home team into intermission with a 16-14 advantage. He
added another field goal in the third quarter. 

Wylie (1-1) was led by senior quarterback Patrick
Wilt's 201 passing yards and two TD tosses. However,
Wilt, who has orally committed to Nebraska, did lose
four fumbles.
