I think Kenny Wilson got the most carries because the coaches see
something and want to get him involved. Let's not forget he's been with us
a month or so. have you seen that practice TD run of his?

LaTech's QB was runing for his life most of the game.
It's not the stats that count, that only counts to fans. Troy Edwards in
1998 didn't have 405 yards receiving because he could, it was because it
was allowed. Our DB's gained more experience in that game (1998) than if
they'd played five or six other teams.
I missed part of the game, but it looked like a lot of guys played on the
lines. That's good, that's what we need. Lots of guys getting experience
on the field.

He got to play. That was key that we've advanced. Last year at this time,
Taylor played, and played and played and played. We now have a backup with
time on the field.
I don't think there's anyone on this list that has a lot of faith in Ganz,
but after Taylor he's what we have. I hope that against Nicholls State, he
plays the whole second half. Or more. As much as possible.

The word I would use is "crisp". Think of where we were last year. Not as
lost as the year before, but really lost in this offense at the beginning
of 2005. Remember the constant shifting and penalties? They were gone this
year.
We toyed with La Tech for a while, then Callahan decided to start playing
the game.
Four tight ends caught TD passes. Four. That's not a sign that Herian
isn't important. It's a sign of depth.
What, 10 recievers caught passes, four running backs had significant
carries. That's huge.
Somewhere, I do think that Callahan is a true offensive genius - but key
is that he can communicate that to his team. I think today showed that he
can. After the first quarter, we moved away from trying to pound the ball
to playing BC's offense, and we started tearing apart the LaTech defense.
This was Nebraska of old, with just a different offense.
We truly beat the crap out of them today, and we did it with a whole team,
a massive gob of players. That's pretty darned impressive.
