Me too. We started fast in both games and went up
by three scores (due in large part to blunders by
the opponent). Then we went flat and struggled to
move the ball for the rest of the game.
It seems to me there may be an attitude problem with
some members of the team. When we score a lot of
points, they seem to ease off. I suppose it's human
nature to relax and lose focus when you are so far
ahead, but on two occasions this year it has been
deadly.
Perhaps we should have put in the 2nd and 3rd string
players when we were up 16-0. At least they would
have played with enthusiasm.

Fair comment. The intensity was gone. Without intensity
the Huskers are pretty mediocre.

Despite the big plays, Zac's completion rate was bad against
Kansas (45%). Zac also was below par at USC (50%), Texas
(54%) and OSU (54%). Those were our three losses this year
(and Kansas was almost a fourth).
I don't know if the fault lies with Zac or with the receivers
or with the o-line, but sub-par passing is killing us.
Speaking of the o-line, here is an interesting stat:
the sacks on Zac in the last six games: 0 2 2 4 4 5
Cheers,
Steven
