I'm not sure what people have been looking at........the trouble with this team was obvious to me after watching the first conference game with KU..........you might want to re-look at that game to see what I mean.

I completely agree with this. That Kansas game really worried me. KS was cutting through the defensive line like it was butter (oh oh analogy alert!). If they hadn't spotted us 21 points (we earned them -- but they were mostly due to their mistakes), we lose that game. And I think for the most part we were probably outplayed in the IA St. game as well. Finally we played a team that didn't make a bunch of mistakes -- and they beat us. Our guys looked pretty tired in the 4th... but we still probably would have won this game -- except for our HUGE kicking mistake at the end of the first half (the momentum swing was more important than the points). Hindsight is 20/20... but I don't know why we would want to spot them 30 yards on a kick if things went right (and they didn't).

The one ray of hope I have is how we played Texas last week. I actually thought that was our best effort of the season. Some people say there are no such things as a good loss. I disagree. That was about as good of a loss as you can have. It's the bad wins that have got me concerned. :)

So it goes. It's only football.
