Unless of course there are more then two teams tied. I was only thinking of MU and NU ending up tied this year.

I agree with what you say above. While winning the North may not
be vital it is very important. That goal is still within reach. Just
the fact we are challenging this late in the season shows me improvement
has been made. It is a hard thing to do but I think we Husker fans, and
I include myself, need to adjust our thinking to make the main goal the
Big 12 North every year. The days of NU being a perennial player in the
top 10 are probably over. I think we can be there at times but not just
year after year like we used to be. We haven't outright won the North
Division since 1999.

That's a good bit of perspective. This Husker football thing is
not life and death. :-) Beating Mizzou is pretty important for a couple
of reasons. One is, of course, getting the win. The other is if the
North would end in a tie the first tiebreaker is head to head competition.
