[Husker] Bad Calls, no defense

Part of that record has to do with the fact that we tend to play the easier games early in the season. Callahan and Cosgrove have absolutely nothing to do with guys over running plays or hitting and not wrapping up the ball carrier.
I do question the change in RB. Lucky just didn't seem to have the ability to find the hole that BJ did.
Lots of dropped passes today plus Taylor being chased down. Taylor holds the ball too long instead of dumping it.
On the defensive side, it just seemed that we were missing tackles that we'd made all year long. We've known all along that the corners were weak, but there were also several plays that Shanle looked like he was playing for an overthrow and ran right past the receiver.
Carriker (sp) had a monster 1st qtr. but once they started really keying on him we weren't able to overcome. The ability of the OSU QB to run screwed everyone up.
Just first impressions sitting at home.

I think instead of worrying about not getting "many calls all day" (which is odd considering the pass interference that lead to our 2nd touchdown was a horrible call), we should worry a lot more about these things:
1.) Why the coaching staff is briliant at scriping plays, but cannot make adjustments to save their life
2.) Why under Calalhan, teams seem to just lay an egg after a disappointing loss. We went 1-4 over the next 5 games after losing to Texas Tech last year. What the hell will we do this time? We're already off to a great start.
3.) Why we've had glaring problems on defense ever since Callahan and Cosgrove came on board, despite the fact that the defense preceeding them in 2003 was pretty good.
4.) Why Callahan's record is so horrible on the road, even against mediocre competition. If we lose @ Texas A&M, he'll have a losing road record for the 3rd staright season.
