In 1991, the NCAA rules were changed and now college
goal posts are the same width as the NFL goal posts at
18'6".

Some high schools still play with the 23' 4" goal
posts though. I know when high school teams play at
UNO or for the state title in Memorial Stadium, they
use the narrower college goal posts.
