Field goal kicking and kickoffs are different skills. Just because
Wesch could possibly kick the ball 70 yards doesn't mean he could even
get close to getting it between the uprights, or get the ball up at
the right angle to prevent a block which could set up even better
field position for the opponent than a simple miss.

Fact is, Congdon doesn't have the leg to reasonably kick over 50 yard
FG attempts, and apparently nobody else on the team who CAN kick that
far has the required accuracy.
