[Husker] Polls??????????

There are many ways to look at this. If I counted right there were six teams
in the top 25 with 2 losses and only two of them were ahead of NU, i.e. LSU
and Oklahoma. Oklahoma was only one spot ahead of NU. The fact that the two
NU losses were to top five teams maybe counts for something but I don't feel
too bad having LSU ahead of us and Oklahoma just one notch ahead. There are
a couple of 1 loss teams behind us. In terms of the numbers and the fact
that one of our losses was at home, it doesn't seem so unfair. If we take
care of business we should move up from here.

Here is the new coaches poll:

There is one thing I like about the NFL better than college football.
In the NFL all you need to do is win. It doesn't matter how you look,
margin of victory, quality of opponent, strength of schedule, and all of
that. All that is necessary to know is did you win or did you lose, period.
NU dropped to 20th after yesterday. I guess I have to pose the question,
how do you move up four places by beating Iowa State and fall four places by
losing by two to Texas, the fifth ranked team? It makes absolutely no sense
to me either way. One might think by coming that close to Texas, and could
have easily won, we might even move up a little but certainly not drop.

I never learned anything when I was the one doing the talking.
