Try to think of it this way:

If NU had won yesterday, it would have risen to sixteenth while Texas 
dropped to, say, 12th.

For the first time all season, the Huskers were actually mentioned 
last night in the ESPN recaps. Not favorably, of course, but at least 
mentioned. The "big mouths" clearly believe that a pipsqueak 
got-nuthin' state like Nebraska has no business messing with their 
betters, so Husker fans should not expect any additional "favorable" 
PR treatment this season.

With few exception, TV talking heads are past masters at explaining 
the patently obvious to their viewing audience.

As for the professional entertainment called "football," there's 
nothing about it I like. Except when the players strike.
