[Husker] Could this Husker team beat...

Hmmm..... didn't think I was being that venomous. With regards to seeing
us fail, how else am I supposed to interpret that the call for Callahan's
head will grow louder?

I'm not 100% sold on Bill Callahan as being the right coach for the
Nebraska Cornhuskers. I'm certainly not 100% sold on Kevin Cosgrove, in
fact, he's making me crazy. However, if we were all embarassed by Solich
being fired after a 9-2 record, do we really want to see Callahan fired
for the same record so we can be embarassed all over again? I don't think
so, especially when it is clear he's making progress.

Rewind - back to the appearance of Bill Byrne. EVERYONE hated the man when
he came to Nebraska because he made us change the way we'd been doing
things since just about forever. Was he the right guy to be our AD for 20
years? No, but the evolution he put in place is reaping huge rewards now
when everyone said it would fail miserably.

When you start this stuff, like SP did when firing Solich, it may be an
evolution that fails, but you still have to let it play out. Otherwise,
like I've said before, we become Alabama. Who wants that?
