[Husker] Could this Husker team beat...

I have to agree. Why this...hope the Husker's fail attitude? This has gone on way to long. Frankly...people better get used to it. The Husker's will continue to improve in the West Coast offense. They may stumble on occasion. They may over achieve on many occasions...but why is it that it seems like everyone outside the Husker nation wants us to fail? Is it because we won for so many years? Is it because we spanked them around and were the dominant force in the Big 8? OK...here's my take...To "heck" with them...the train's coming...and get out the way or wear RED. OU did it...Kansas Stae did it for a short period of time...and even Colorado did it...but these kids want to get to the NFL, ad they think that Callahan and the "Corn-coast" offense will get them there. GO BIG RED...AND HANG ON!

  Okay, I'll bite.

It's always great when people ask a hypothetical question such as you
have, knowing it can never be answered.

Embarassing 5-1? We're 5-1. It would have been nicer if we'd "looked"
better against USC, but I guess that depends on how you saw the game. I
didn't see it that as being that bad.

I don't know if we're back to where we started, all we can do is to keep
winning games, even if they're against "inferior" competition. We can't do
anything about the level of competition in the Big 12, and the schedule
we've played is pretty comparable to that we've played for the last, oh,
30 years. What you want out of that I don't understand.

Missouri is definitely improved, but if we happen to beat them, people
will say that they weren't really that good in the first place, so
'failure' becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I don't know if our defense
is good enough to stop Texas's running game, and that's what will have to
happen for us to win that game.

I guess if it comes apart as the season progresses, you can be proud about
being right and get louder. It's always wonderful to see people wanting to
see Nebraska fail, but I don't understand it.

Are there specific parts about this Nebraska team you don't like? Four
usable, capable running backs? A good quarterback? Good receivers?
