To be fair, KU's turnovers were considerably more costly than
Nebraska's. KU had:
An interception returned to the 6 yard line, which resulted in a
Nebraska touchdown
A fumble on Nebraska's 2 yard line, which resulted in a long touchdown
pass 3 plays later (seemed like a 14-point swing at the time)
A pass that Nebraska intercepted in the endzone, although NU could not
advance field position and KU scored a field goal on their ensuing
possession.
KU also had a fumbled lateral that was returned for a touchdown by
Nebraska, but the refs blew it dead. ;)
This was not a case of NU turning the ball over and allowing KU to get
back in the game, especially since KU outgained us by over 60 yards of
total offense. As a whole, this was a pretty evenly played football game.
