Hi Husker friends-
I recently had a hard drive failure and so I lost the responses I
received a year or so ago to this question, so I'm sorry I am repeating
it. Please respond to me off list.
The question:
In NU's first OT game in history, the infamous 'Flea-Kicker" NU-MU game
of 1997, it is known that NU had the ball first in OT. The question:
Who won the coin toss in OT? Did NU win the coin toss and elect to go on
offense? Or did MU win the toss and take the usual 'defense' first
strategy?
As some of you recall, those of us watching on TV didn't see anything
but the end of Frost's run for a TD in OT.
Thanks for your help. Look forward to seeing the Huskers in person in a
few weeks here in STW.
