Better a scare than a loss.  And much better than a 40-15 loss.

I sense that some of you are contemptuous of Kansas because
historically it was a weak team.  Apparently, Kansas can only
be a weak team.  

However, I think it's a mistake to judge this Kansas by the 
Kansas of old.  Last season the Jayhawks won every one of their 
home games and then went bowling (thrashing Houston 42-13).  
They are well coached and have some decent players. I predict 
Kansas will win their next 4 games (3 home games against A&M, 
OSU and Colorado, and away at Baylor) and be bowl-eligible 
before the end of the month.  A victory over K-State (@ Kansas) 
will give Kansas a 5-3 conference record and third place in 
the North (ahead of Iowa State).  And if Missouri and/or the 
Huskers don't take care of business, Kansas could end up even 
higher than that.

It's time we started giving Kansas a bit more respect.
