I thought the exact opposite on this...
I was wondering why they were running plays with under a minute and 80 yards to go after the turnovers earlier- I think at home with the crowd your chances are better needing 25 yards (the OT scenario) than forcing the issue on your own 20 in regulation. I would've gone a step further and had Taylor fall into the line a couple times rather than risk Glenn or Lucky couging it up.
If Callahan went for it all and Taylor threw a pick, and lets say KU kicked a winning FG instead of what did happen, instead of calling it gutless I'm guessing you (and me both) would be calling for Callahan's head today.
