[Husker] 45 seconds left

It is often said that in these situations you play to tie at home and play to win on the road. I think I generally agree. If the back catches the Utah pass on first down and runs 25 yards like I think he could have, then I think it is a different scenario. Once that play is incomplete, then I think the thought is twofold. Lets not throw two more incompletions and let KU get the ball back; and were at home and there is an advantage at home in OT generally.

I need someone to talk me down....

45 seconds left, the game is tied, we have two timeouts. We have three
touchdown passes of over 70 yards in the game.

Callahan essentially takes a knee and chooses to go to overtime. This
appeared not only gutless, but stupid.

Can someone provide an alternate explanation?
