The FSN announcers commented on the noise level several times, 
making it sound as if Memorial Stadium is well-known for being loud. 
There was a period in the second half where it sounded on TV as if 
the crowd had gotten pretty quiet.

I noticed that too--quite impressive!

Was this in the wrong category, maybe?  I agree with your 
observation, but it seems like a positive to me.  :)

I was especially glad to hear Eric Washington is expected to be 
okay.  Here's a passage from the Lawrence Journal-World:

     Mangino said Washington was knocked unconscious briefly and lost
     feeling in his extremities. Soon after leaving for the hospital,
     Washington regained all of his feeling and reportedly is doing
     fine.  He spent the night in a Lincoln hospital Saturday and was
     expected to come home today
