[Husker] Big 12 CG - tickets to 57,000 Nebraska addresses?

I've been hearing stories about how Arrowhead will be almost all a sea of Nebraska red, with 57,000 tickets sold to Nebraska addresses. From what I can tell this was traced back to something said in a radio show, I think I heard it was Jim Rose? And I don't believe it.

Arrowhead holds about 80,000, right? NU and OU get 8500 tickets each. I imagine other schools get a handful, and some are distributed elsewhere by the Big 12, locals, Arrowhead officials, and so on. I'd guess there's probably around 60,000 sold to the public as a whole. Does anyone really believe that nearly every one of these went to a Nebraska address? Not just to a Husker fan that might be living in the KC area or elsewhere out of state (where nobody can tell whose fans they are), but to actual Nebraska addresses? Nobody from Texas got them after the OU-UT game? No ticket scalpers got them, or all of the scalpers live in Omaha? Heck, until a week or so ago you could still get them through Ticketmaster.

I think whoever reported that number was either deliberately misleading or flat out lying. And Husker fans are so eager to jump on stories about how great we travel that the story is being passed around as fact. I see the alumni association is now claiming "The Big Eight’s hottest rivalry is back and more than 60,000 game tickets have been sold to Nebraska fans!" in its Husker Huddle email.

I'll believe that we'll have a majority of the fans, perhaps overwhelmingly so. But I don't think it will be anything like is being reported.
