[Husker] Volleyball, Big XII Championship and More

Good Evening All:

First, the Husker Volleyball team downed Texas tonight in Lincoln on Senior Night 3 games to 0. NU will now await their seeding and placement in the volleyball postseason tournament. NU will likely start at home next weekend, but they will have to go on the road for the regional finals for a chance to make it to Omaha and the Final Four.

Second, plenty of tickets for next weekend's Big XII Championship game in Kansas City are available at www.ticketmaster.com, or at any Ticketmaster Outlet across the Midwest.

Third, it is quite likely that NU fans have snatched up 58,000 tickets. NU will have a 12,500 ticket allotment (as will Oklahoma), and as previously stated Kansas City Chiefs season ticket holders had the first rights to purchase tickets as well but they had to do it in April or so and past history has shown that they do not exercise that option very well. In fact I believe the last time the game was in Kansas City Chiefs ticket holders only purchased around 10,000 tickets. 

Next week's Big XII Championship game kicks off at 7:10 PM (CT) in Kansas City and will be nationally televised by ABC. 

The men's basketball team plays two more home games this week before hitting the road to New Jersey next Saturday to take on Rutgers. NU hosts Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday and North Texas on Wednesday night in Lincoln, the North Texas game will be televised in the State of Nebraska only via FSN Midwest. Anyone on the list who would like to attend either of these two games is welcome to contact me as I have an extra pair of tickets for each game. The tickets are $10 each and are located at center court in C12, row 26, a parking pass is included with any tickets anyone may wish to buy.
