I like trick plays, too. I always have. I just believe there is a
time and a place for them. If we were playing a top ten team I probably
would agree with showing it in the first half. When you are a team that is
in the top 25 and you are playing a team that is ranked below 100 and it is
tied in the first half I don't think there is a need to open up the
playbook. For my own enjoyment I would like to see trick plays every play.
However, I don't think that would be using proper discretion.

I really don't know. I haven't seen either team play every game. But,
the games I have seen I haven't seen very many trick plays. Most teams
don't use them in a game unless they are in a must situation.

I don't doubt that a bit that the players love them. Why wouldn't they?
It is kind of like school yeard football and it sure would break the
monotny.

Each is entitled to their opinion but you would have to explain to me
how running a trick play in the first half in a tie game against a team you
should beat shows confidence in your offense? I honestly don't get that and
mean no disrespect to you. To me, if you thought your offense was capable
you would kick the field goal and go on with the game.

I never learned anything when I was the one doing the talking.
