I don't think there is even a slight chance Keller would go pro, unless he gets hurt before next spring. A QB sitting out a year and then leaving is much different than an o lineman or even a running back doing the same. If he were THAT highly regarded after last season he wouldn't have bothered to enroll at Nebraska and probably would've just worked out on his own and gotten an agent. He could have also entered the NFL in a supplemental draft scenario, but I'm not entirely sure how that works. What has he really done since last season at ASU? Practicing well on the NU scout team doesn't necessarily translate into can't miss NFL talent (although he certainly has the talent and will show it next season). I think people are worried over nothing with regard to Keller leaving.

So, if you were Keller, how strongly would you consider turning pro ? He was considered a likely 1st round pick in the upcoming draft before he transfered. Considering that Richie Incognito was taken in the 3rd round (great talent and a lot more baggage than Keller) after a year off, not playing does not seem to have hurt too badly. Willis McGee was taken with a 1st round pick after a injury that costs a year to rehab. If Keller is truly a 1st round talent, how many teams would consider taking him with a 2nd round choice ?
I would love to see Keller in red next year, he would certainly make the transition next year much easier.
Andy
