Hello Husker Fans,

The Huskers tonight upset Creighton soundly tonight 73-61. It was a
strange game because the Huskers turned the ball over 16 times and
got outrebounded 12-1 on the offensive glass. The telling statistic
though was NU shot 68% from the field to Creighton's 38%. NU only
  took 37 shots to CU's 56.

Ryan Anderson played tremendous tonight (this kid looks really
good). He had a team high 19 points, and had several big plays in
the first half to keep the Huskers in the game (especially with
  Maric out in foul trouble).

Maric had 2 points at the half, but broke loose in the second and
  finished with 17.

Charles Richardson didn't miss a shot from the floor all night
chipping in 11. His only miss was a free throw on the front end of
  a 1 and 1.

Jamel White also had 2 points at the half, but finished with 13
hitting a huge 3 as the shot clock expired with CU hanging close
  later in the game.

Great win for NU, even if CU was a little overrated. Still a VERY
quality win for Doc Sadler. Apparently, (and I didn't catch the
exact stat) Doc is the first coach to win his first two games @ NU
  since like 1949.

On the CU side, I had my doubts about Nate Funk until I saw him
tonight. He exploded for 28 points and hit some really tough shots.
NU was double teaming him most the night, but it wasn't enough.

Again, great win for NU. Need to eliminate some mistakes and work
harder on the glass, but this was a good win.

I hope Doc can win some more like this!
