     Thanks for reporting this.  I saw on the Internet he had become ill and 
taken to the hospital but I hadn't seen the report that he actually passed 
away.  He was certainly a fixture in the world of college football.  A lot 
of people don't remember from 1990-1992 he was the President of the Detroit 
Tigers.
