According to the 2001 media and recruiting guide the most point scored in a quarter was in 1983 vs. CU. It was 48 in the third qt. The final was 69-19 and it was home coming.

I'm thinking that was 1977, when CU scored first, and then NU scored 63 
unanswered and finally won 63-21. It could have happened more than once, 
but I don't remember that in '92 - though so many things went wrong for 
the poor (sic) Buffies that I may just have forgotten that one.
