    But, you have to look at it from a percentage viewpoint and from A&M's 
viewpoint.  Not very many conversions for one point are no good for whatever 
reason.  It is generally considered a touchdown is seven points. So whether 
the score was 27-21 or 26-21 was pretty insignificant.  Either way a 
touchdown by NU puts you behind and in either scenario you could take the 
lead with a field goal.  Plus, the percentages are a lot less going for two. 
I doubt that consideration was given to we need to go for two in case NU 
scores, then if they miss the extra point it will be tied.

     We'll never know but my best guess would be had they been successful on 
the first one they wouldn't have tried for two on the second one.  I think 
basically what they were trying to do is get the points back they missed.
