    I agree.  I don't like Texas much at all.  But, if the best rankings for 
the conference is what you want and the highest possible rating for NU is 
what you want both those goals were pretty much dashed with KSU beating 
Texas.  If not dashed they were made harder to achieve.

    You may be right. With the computer rankings so much enters in to the 
point it almost matters what they ate for breakfast as to where they are 
ranked.  Maybe they won't drop as far as I thought.  Regardless, it would 
have been better for NU for Texas to win.  At the very least KSU beat Texas 
and NU didn't.  Using the logic of some that makes KSU better than NU.

     Yeah, I remember well. :-)  I would doubt Michigan and Ohio State would 
play for the BCS title but stranger things have happened.  I remember NU 
playing for the title one year when they didn't even with their division, 
much less the conference title.
