There supposedly exists a chart that coaches use to decide whether to go for
1 or 2 (e.g., if the TD puts you up by 1, go for 2; down by 8, go for 1;
etc.).  It eliminates all of the permutational calculations that coaches
would otherwise have to make after a touchdown.  With all of the football
experience on this list, maybe somebody can provide a copy of, or a pointer
to, such a chart.
