No need to be embarassed at all. We all had the same thoughts - and 
probably still do. That makes three times this year that NU has gotten 
out to a nice lead and then pretty much gone in the tank. That the 
Huskers won two of those games, softens the sting, but it's still a 
concern.

It seems the other team's defense makes adjustments to stop our run 
game, and we have no answer. The offense suffered from poor field 
position in the third quarter, but even at that the performance in the 
first half would have suggested NU could overcome that. They finally 
did, but barely.

The defense was even more frustrating. A&M had 428 yards of offense, and 
I can think of four plays - all of them the result of defensive mistakes 
- that accounted for nearly half of that.

Having said all that, this was a huge win for the program. I was really 
concerned about leaving the BTN to the CU game. The Buffies will be 
pumped for this game, and the opportunity to knock NU out of the 
Championship game would have added to that. A win in that game should 
ensure NU of a good bowl, regardless of the outcome of the Championship 
game.
