Hello Husker Fans,

A few posts have been mentioning the future of the Husker program
and I have to agree, the future looks bright.

I'm in no way claiming to be an insider, but I've been told by
people in the program that Keller has been amazing in practices.
With less developed talent at receiver an O-line, he's been
shredding the #1 defense. I know we don't have the best pass
defense in the NCAA, but it should be comforting to know that a very
competent QB is stepping in. I was even told, "They just can't stop
  him."

I just thought I'd let you know. He should be very fun to watch
next year. This guy is a legitimate pro talent and will probably be
drafted pretty high when he's done.

Plus, we have a very young offensive line that I think is doing a
pretty darn good job this year. We've had our troubles, but overall
they are MUCH improved. I can't wait to see how they do with
  another year under their belt.

We'll still be very deep at running back (no SRs in the big 4), and
it looks like none of our WRs will be gone (unless Purify goes
draft, anyone think that could happen?) It looks like LB we'll just
lose Stew. CB we'll lose Fluellen (9th year with med redshirt?) and
hopefully get Zack Bowman back (can he do medical redshirt?). None
of the other DBs are Srs. Andrew Shanle seems to be the only big
  loss in the defensive backfield.

The biggest spots we'll suffer is defensive line and fullback. Our
entire defensive line is all SR (Carriker, Cryer, Dagunduro, Moore).
We have some good talent backing up, but geesh. Losing Dane Todd (or
Todd Dane if you're ABC) will be a really tough hole to fill. He's
one of the best blocking fullbacks around. Losing Matt Herian can't
help, but he hasn't really been himself this year.

Barry Turner and Zach Potter are the likely candidates to start at
the ends, while Suh and Steinkuhler take the DT spots.

  Wide Receiver:
  Junior: Hardy, Purify, and Nunn
Sophomore: Peterson, Swift, and maybe even Chris Brooks!
Freshman: Menelik Holt and Will Henry

I'm fairly optimistic, really. It's still a very young team and I
think that's been swept under the rug a little. I think there's a
  real future for this team!

Then again, everything's Red to me ;)
