No,  he is saying that a BTN winner who was of the level of CO last 
year (they were in the title game and playing very poor ball) should 
certainly not be considered the pinnacle of success. If NU drops at ATM 
and in the B12 title game, winning at CO and in a Alamo-class bowl, he 
is asking if this is improvement from "Gravitating to Mediocrity", if 
(as others think will happen) NU wins out and gets into a BCS bowl, 
then there is no question that the team has significantly improved from 
the FS days.

His point on recruiting is also interesting. There has been attrition 
(there always is), but sticks out at me are the number of JUCO players 
from the 1st 2 classes that are not playing much. Can anyone list them 
?
