[Husker] Nebraska 84 Minnesota 13

I think there was a very good reason to score 84 points - Minnesota was
that bad! The first 5 Nebraska drives took between 3 and 5 plays each.
After only 20 offensive plays, Nebraska already had 35 points and a few
hundred yards.

Also, keep in mind that it was a road game, which means that Osborne
couldn't even put in a full 3rd team on both sides of the ball. Had it
been a home game, Osborne could have had 4th and 5th string players on
the field in the 4th quarter. Even in home games, I've seen Nebraska
score 60+ points against weaker teams. Had some of those games been on
the road, we might have seen a few other games reach 70+.

As far as Rozier the second half...
Given that most games that season were well in hand by early in the
second half (average game score for the season was 52–16), if Osborne
had sat down the 1st team every time that was the case, they wouldn't
have been as prepared as a coach would want for the games that weren't
that easy.
