Hello Husker Fans,

The Huskers dropped the last game of the series today against KU
7-6. The win snapped the Huskers 13 game winning streak, including
a 21 game winning streak at Hawks Field.

Dorn was not sharp today like he had been in his last 3 or 4
outings. He pitched 5.2 innings giving up 5 earned runs (a few of
them after he left the game).

The Huskers still had their opportunities though, leaving the bases
loaded in the 7th and scoring 1 in the eighth (almost 2, but a great
play by the KU shortstop ended the inning). Close Czyz (yes, it's
spelled like that) came in to shut the Huskers down.

The Huskers move to 17-3 (2-1) on the year.

Early season losses like this don't hurt much, especially in
baseball where you play 50+ games. KU is a pretty good team and
have won some impressive games, so I wasn't too surprised to see
  them take one.

The Huskers are back in action next on Tuesday night @ 6:35 to open
a 2 game set with Northern Colorado (second game Wed @ 1:05).

  Go Skers!
