Besides wanting to see how much revenue they could get out of this, my guess is NU was none too happy with the fact that Kevin Kugler (who works for KOZN here in Omaha) who is the lead pxp guy for NET is also now the lead pxp guy for Creighton games on radio. KOZN this season has started to air Creighton games (25-30) with Kevin Kugler and John Bishop calling the action. 

I would also guess that outside of Omaha, Lincoln and perhaps the Tri-Cities (GI/Hastings/Kearney) the rest of the state will be left out. Most of the smaller cable systems do not have the capacity to pick up these types of broadcasts and place them on a channel like the large systems in the metropolitan areas.
