Hello Husker Fans,

The Huskers won another slugfest 12-6. It was their ninth win in a
  row.

Husker pitching was spotty early giving up 7 walks and 5 runs in the
first 4 innings, but cleaned up it's act to only allow 1 run and 1
walk over the next 5. NU used 5 'new' pitchers (3 fresh, 1 so, 1
jr) to complete the task. Starter Radmacher looked good the first
inning, but couldn't find the strikezone after that. Klausing came
in to relieve him and looked ok, but surrendered 3 runs. Hamerlink,
Jennings, and Bird pitched the last 4 innings very well. It was
great to the younger Husker pitchers get some real game-time
  experience under their belt.

Hitting wise, Gorsett hit another homer (8), holding back the "I told
you so", a huge shot to left that darn near left the park. Nick
Jaros and Andrew Brown each hit their 2nd homers of the season.

All huskers starters but Nimmo, Buckman, and Gerch had a hit today
  as NU pounded out 11.

Nebraska now goes on to face South Dakota State this weekend for a 4
game series. The games were moved to a Friday doubleheader starting
at 12:05, Satuday at 12:05, and Sunday at 1:05. It seems that
Sunday's game is the really doubtful one, Friday shouldn't be too
bad, the forecast says 44 and partly cloudy, but Saturday has about
a 30% chance of light Snow with a high of 31, and Sunday looks like
38 and a boatload of snow.
