Nebraska beats Alabama 2-1 in 11 innings. Chamberlain did pitch today due to
a sore arm. Tony watson started in his place and went 6 innnings giving up 5
hits 1 base on balls 2 hit batsman and 1 strikeout. the middle reliefe held
until Jensen came in pitching 3.1 innings for the win.
We just returned from the game a short time ago. Great opening day crowd, I
thought, especially for a breezy/chilly Friday afternoon. Berms were fairly
full. 5,500 (?) would be my bad guess.
Luke Gorsett has great hands. He hit a solo shot to tie it up, then barely
missed another (a bomb that the wind took foul past the left field foul pole)
late that would've won it prior to extra frames. Six 'taters already for
Gorsett this year.
