[Husker] College Football on TV?

I'm sitting here wondering what's coming up this year for college football
on TV... I know that Jeff Volk has his sport super-room, probably complete
with massage chairs, 23 plasma televisions (that many can cause cancer,
Jeff), every sports channel known to humankind and the only human being on
the planet with a universal remote that works.

Unfortunately, for us mere mortals, it isn't that easy. I have Dish
Network. I have ESPN, ESPN2, and a Fox Sports Net package. (I've cut down
TV quite a bit). I do not have CSTV, nor ESPNU nor the NFL network (I
don't think I'll really miss that one much to be honest). There's XM, and
Sirius satellite radio. There's the Internet, and who knows what will
happen with IPTV.

Now... The Sporting News has an article that the Big Ten is going to start
their own cable channel, expected to launch in August 2007. The article
mentions that the channel will be available everywhere, including the
Internet, iPods, cell phones, etc. (I keep wondering when we'll be able to
purchase Husker games on iTunes for $1.99....).

Question is, what's a guy to do? I probably can't afford every channel
(unless there's a package I don't know about), and to be blunt, with the
way things are packaged, I don't want huge packages, I just pretty much
want to watch college football. TV isn't a big deal in our house...
well... until late August through early January.

There are some enormous changes coming in media/content delivery..... and
how they affect one of our favorite sports is up for speculation.

What's the best bang for the buck now?

This was going to be a blog entry, but I thought it'd be nice for
discussion. Not much else going on yet, eh?

(BTW, jeff v, thanks for the baseball reply).
