[Husker] MLB Draft Update

yeah, about three weeks behind, that's where my life is right now..... in
case you wanted to know why this reply is so timely. :)

When you look at the NBA, you look at the first round as being the only
"real" round of draft. Surprises, maybe, but rare in other rounds (or so
that's my understanding, I could care less about the NBA and wish that it
would die and make room on TV for more "tough man" contests) does anyone
make it.

NFL - First through fourth rounds, everyone should pretty much make a team
somewhere unless they're a bust.

Is there some information somewhere about how the draft in MLB works? I
don't care much about MLB either, and wish that it'd fall off TV and make
room for more sports involving body piercing or something like that.
However, I have a seven year old son who's become a baseball fan, no doubt
due to our yearly trips back to spend a weekend at Haymarket. His older
brother wouldn't have anything to do with baseball, so I didn't have to
pretend to know everything about how it works. (Older brother plays
soccer.. something no one in the US really knows a LOT about, and even if
they did, won't admit it out loud without a bunch of foreigners around
them.)

So.... Gorsett, round 7. Is that good? bad? Average? Will he ever play in
the Big Leagues, or spend the next few years playing for the Portsmouth
Plastic-Wrap Lickers?

What happens to these guys? Anyone? Sooner or later, the kid'll figure out
his old man is just blowing smoke.... but if I can stave that off for a
while, hey, I'm all for that.

Thanks for any explanations.
