What's wrong with my post? I'm mad that I won't be able to cash in on my CWS tix. Husker baseball fans have paid a mint for CWS tix, and what's wrong with that? How can you say that 99.9% of my post is idiotic drivel when it was only 2 sentences and you agreed with one of them. I think it is you who is the idiot.

While 99% of "Sue"'s post is idiotic drivel, the fact that we did stink
it up at the end of the year is a pretty valid assessment. Our meteoric
descent from the #2 team in the nation to 0-2 in the Regional is
frustrating to all Husker Baseball fans. There isn't a single thing that
one can pinpoint that led to the collapse - it just seemed like when the
pitching and defense was there that the hitting wasn't and vice versa.
Overall I still think the coaches, starting with Van Horn and now
through Anderson have managed to build one of the top programs in the
nation, so rocky end of the season aside congratulations to our Huskers
for putting together what was still a pretty nice season.
Now Husker Baseball fans can turn their attention to the MLB Draft,
which starts tomorrow. Joba, despite his lack of success this season,
still has a mid-first round grade and should go no lower than the
sandwich round between 1 and 2. That is fabulous as Joba is a great kid
and both he and his family can definitely use the financial gain that
comes from being a 1st round MLB draftee.
Jensen will also certainly get drafted, although I wouldn't expect much
better than the 23rd round he was drafted in last year as he is a Sr
with no leverage to return to school. Even if he gets drafted higher,
again with no leverage his signing bonus potential should not improve
greatly.
Buckman and Christy also have outside shots at being late round draft
picks although neither are locks to be drafted at all.
Those minimal departures leave the cupboard pretty full back in Lincoln
and that with what appears to be a good recruiting class (although we
won't know that for sure until after the draft and summer signing
period) leaves the outlook for the 2007 Huskers as pretty darn solid.
Have a great day and Go Big Red!
Jeff
Everyone can now return to flaming "Sue" and the "Frank Got
Roofied" thread.
