[Husker] More missed opportunities

Hello Husker Fans,

As we've seen for the last few weeks of the season, NU struggled to
bring people home when they had a chance. I think the most
frustrating thing for me personally is seeing these players watch 2
strikes RIGHT down the middle of the plate and then swing at a bad
pitch and pop up, strike out or just plain look silly...

Joba fixed his early struggles (giving up back to back homers on
pitches right out over the plate) and really pitched a decent game.
Even though he gave up 4 runs over 7.1, two of those came after he
left the game from a balk and a bloop single.

We left 10 on base I believe, to continue our frustration. I will
say that one reason we keep leaving these guys on base is that most
of the runners have come with 2 outs. It really seems like we're
waiting for a 2 out rally every inning and that's not going to get
  it done.

Give some credit to Manhattan's pitcher Chris Cody. His placement
and movement on the ball really exposed one of our weaknesses, which
is a lack of discipline at the plate. Having a hurting Gorsett has
REALLY hurt this lineup since we have to put Nimmo in who's
basically an automatic out these days.

NU will play the loser of Miami vs San Francisco at 1:05 pm. If
they win that game, they play the winner of Saturday night's game
for the right to play in the championship where they would have to
take two from whomever's won their first two.

Watson will take the hill tomorrow, IMHO our best pitcher this year
in what will be for the next 4 games at least a win or go home
  situation.

What really concerns me now is the depth of our pitching. We're
going to have to go to Dorn and Shirek with either
Klausing/Radmacher again or have Watson throw on short rest (Joba
really isn't a candidate for pitching on short rest).

What to do? Who knows. Now we just have to play 1 game at a time,
pray for a few bounces and hope we don't face Cody ever again.
