Life is so unfair. Huston Street tried to close out the game
but gave up three runs in the top of the 9th for a blown save.
Then Milton Bradley hit a 3 run HR in the bottom of the 9th
for a 6-5 Oakland win over Toronto, and a win for Street.
Komine gave up 4 hits in 6 innings.
Street gave up 4 hits in 1.1 innings of work.
The Texan steals a win from the Nebraskan.

Shane Komine had a decent first game pitching in the bigs for the
Oakland A's, going 6 innings. After a rocky start - Reed Johnson hit
his second pitch into the left field bleachers - Komine settled down
and at one point retired 9 batters in a row.

Then in the 6th after 2 walks and a hit the bases were loaded with
one out, he got out of the jam by retiring the next two.

He was a little wild with 4 walks and one strike out, and after 6 had
99 pitches 53 for strikes and 46 for balls, before giving way to set
up man Chad Gaudin with a 2-1 lead. Shane now owns a 1.50 ERA.
