Good Morning:

Regarding the anti-scalping bill currently before the Nebraska Legislature, this has been brought up before and defeated or not gotten out of committee everytime it been introduced before, so I would be surprised if this one doesn't meet the same fate.

Now, that having been said if it does pass and become law it isn't going to have much effect on ticket prices. The ticket brokerages in Omaha will just move across the river into Council Bluffs (Iowa does not have an anti-scalping law) just like the brokers in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area operate out of Hudson, Wisconsin a few short miles east of the metro.

If it becomes law it might eliminate or severely curtail sales outside the stadium but those sales will then move into bars etc., in Lincoln on game day and we all know LPD doesn't have time police as they have traffic problems to deal with and with an additional 6,500 people to cram into the stadium that means even more cars to move about in downtown Lincoln on game day.
