Just a couple of notes from the Cyclone side of the wall.  Curtis
Stinson found out shortly before the game started that his mother's
heart had stopped and she was rushed to the hospital.  He seemed to be
playing with added motivation, although he is simply an outstanding
player.  Also, the Cyclones have consistently been getting outrebounded
all season.  This was quite a feat for them to outrebound the Huskers.
According to Rahshon Clark, all of the big guys got together prior to
the game and discussed what they needed to do to get the job done on the
boards.  Hmmm...don't you wish everything was as easy as getting
together and discussing what you need to do, and then doing it?!?

It is interesting that these two teams seem to consistently struggle in
the other's home arena.  Should be an interesting game down the road in
Ames.
