Oklahoma State ended up winning rather easily at Baylor, 66-48, and Colorado
took out Mizzou in Columbia, 74-71 behind Richard Roby's 33 points (Mizzou's
first conference loss). Barely a week into conference season and you've
only got two teams (Texas and Nebraska) who have yet to lose a conference game
(and NU and Texas have only played two Big XII games whereas eight schools
have already played three).

The peculiar thing about yesterday's wacky hoops weekend is that of all the
conference games (non-conference had Texas beating 'Nova in Austin), the road
team won all but one!! And that was Iowa State losing a close one to Tech
in Lubbock. KSU won at KU, OSU won in Waco, OU won at A&M, CU won at Mizzou
... wow.

The Big XII Conference is noticeably down this year. Teams two through six
aren't the caliber that we're used to seeing. Oh well, if the Huskers can
capitalize, no apologies need to be extended.

ISU in Lincoln Tuesday night worries me. I'll be impressed if NU wins.
