My guess is they would barely been able to fill those seats if we had
lost one or two of the last three ball games. And 2007 isn't a slam
dunk if we end up having a losing season next year.
I dont' see much of a dropoff next year on the D, given that the starting
line looks to be 4 seniors, and there are 5-6 bonafide starters competing at
LB. Even losing some of the secondary, most teams won't have much time to test
the new starters back there.
Given Z. Taylor's strides over the last few games, and the receiving corps,
the entire season may revolve around the O-line play and the new punter.
I don't forsee a losing season next year, neither OSU nor A&M were very good
this year, so we should actually fare better against the south, and I see no
reason that NU should not win at least 4 games in the north, if not sweep.
I am highly confident that there will be a winning season next year, I think
9 wins in the 12 game regular season, maybe 10-11, especially if the Huskers
could pull a huge early upset at USC before their new offensive players gel.
GBR!!!
