Tomerlin had some rib problems early in the season and made it difficult for
him to work out effectively during the season. There's also some indications
that he maybe needs to get a little more intense about his commitment to
football to be effective at the D-1 level (Cory McKeon and Beck both
basically said the same things about themselves, so it's not a knock. The
jump from JUCO to D-1 by necessity is a large one.). I'm hoping he gets the
coaching and the commitment he needs to realize his potential at either
position. Depending on Herian's status, we may need him at TE more than DE
but I'm sure that will shake itself out come Spring.
