My final ratings are up at www.bapi.net/football and I have Nebraska
ranked #24, up 6 spots from our regular season final rating of 30th.

We passed up:

Florida State (8-5), lost to Penn State 26-23, dropped from 29th to 30th
Georgia Tech (7-5), lost to Utah 38-10, dropped from 27th to 36th
Iowa State (7-5), lost to TCU 27-24, unchanged at 25th
Fresno State (8-5), lost to Tulsa 31-24, dropped from 24th to 29th
Iowa (7-5), lost to Florida 31-24, dropped from 23rd to 27th
Minnesota (7-5), lost to Virginia 34-31, dropped from 22nd to 26th

No teams below us moved ahead of us. Michigan dropped from 18th to 22nd,
but remained ahead of Nebraska.

Texas's national championship team now ranks as the 3rd best team since
1991, behind Nebraska 1995 and Miami 2001. The 1971 Nebraska teams fits
in right behind Nebraska 95 as #2 of the teams I have rated.

This Texas team really is what you'd have to call a dominating champion
this year. Hopefully, now that the Texans know what a rarity a team like
theirs was, they'll have some appreciation for it and become better sports
for it. I think winning the national championships probably made NU and
OU fans a little more appreciative of good football, regardless of who is
playing it. We've been a little down a lately, but none of us have ever
spent a lifetime never getting a taste of a championship.
