1. Unless cousin Rich has watched every safety in Division I for long enough
to rank them - a virtual impossibility - his statement has no credibility.
2. The criticisms of Tiedtke remind me of the times the "experts" on the
list told us - repeatedly - that Scott Shanle lacked the speed to play LB
for Nebraska. Either he got faster, or the NFL is a much slower game, or
said "experts" didn't know what they were talking about. Last time I looked
he was starting for the Cowboys.
3. If you and Jeff Volk and cousin Rich could all see Tiedtke's
shortcomings, why didn't the coaches? Even if Busch is the village idiot,
wouldn't the other coaches have spotted this? Either he's better than you
guys think, or the other candidates are that much worse.
4. And even if he was as bad as you represent, what useful purpose is served
by ragging on him after his career is over?
