It wasn't Al Davis' micromanagement that cost Callahan his job and lead to 
a hellish season with the Raiders. He lost control of that team, and never 
got it back. If he took the Vikings job, one of his biggest 
responsibilities would be to control the team that went through the 
"Whizzinator" scandal, this season had several incidents with the law, and 
the "Love Boat" scandal. There were so many players involved in that last 
one that they can't possibility be gotten rid of in one season.

If I were Zygi Wilf, he wouldn't even be under consideration as I'd 
question his ability to manage this group of jackasses. Forget about their 
talent. For a considerable part of the season they were mentally lost.
